Antropofagus/Architecture Of Lust/Comatose/2012 CD Review

  Antropofagus  are  a  band from  Italy  that  plays  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their 2012  album "Architecture  Of  Lust"  which  was  released  by  Comatose.

  Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to fast  drumming  with  a  good  amount  of  blast  beats  being thrown  into the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars  and  at  times  they  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them,  as  for  the  synths  they  are  only  utilized  briefly  and  they  bring  a  very  dark and  evil  sound  to  the  music.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  death  metal  riffs  that  are  very  heavy  and  brutal  sounding  along  with  some  dark  sounding  melodies  and  technical  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  dark sounding  .

  Vocals  are  all  deep  death  metal  growls  that  have  a weird  distorted  feeling  to them  with  some  spoken  word  samples,  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  writings  of  Clive  barker,  gore  and sickness,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional sound  to  it.

  In  my  opinion  Antropofagus  are  a  very  great  sounding  brutal and  heavy  extreme  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan of  this  style,  you  should  check out this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Blessing Upon  My  Redemption"  "Demise  Of  The  Carnal  Principle"  "The  Lament  Configuration"  and  "Eternity  To  Devour".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

The New Jacobin Club/Left Behind/2012 EP Review

  The New  Jacobin  Club  are  a  band  from  Canada  that  plays  horror  punk  mixed  in  with  some  death  metal  and  thrash  influences  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  ep  "Left  Behind".

  Drums  range from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  not  much  in  the  way  of  blast  beats, while  the  keyboards  bring  an  atmospheric  sound  to  the  music  with  some  sound  effects,  as  for  the  bass  playing  it  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  riffs  that  dominate  throughout  the  recording.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  punk/metal  riffing  that  utilizes  some  influences  from  thrash  and  death  metal,  while t he  lead  guitars  are  very  melodic  sounding  hard  rock  guitar  solos and  leads.

  Vocals  are  mostly  clean  singing  vocals  with  some  deep  death  metal  growls  and  screams,  while  the lyrics  cover  dark,  evil  and  horror  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  where  you  can  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on this  recording,  in  addition  the  last  song  was  recorded  live.

  In  my  opinion  The  New  Jacobin  Club  are  a  very  great  horror  punk/metal  hybrid  and  if  you  are  a fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Demon  Prince"  and  "Blood  of  The  Servant  Girl".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  This is a review of the 10th volume of the Pest Online Compilation  and we will review the songs one by one.

  Bane  brings  us  "In  A  Dying  World"  a  very  atmospheric  and  melodic  sounding  black/death  metal  song  with  a  mixture  of  high  pitched  screams  and  deep  death  metal growls.

  Next  up  is  Bribe  with  "victim's Prostate"  a very  fast  and  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song  in  the  old  school  vein  with  some  deep death  metal  growls  along  with  some  more  modern  day  sounding  pig  squeels.

  Next  up  is  Burning  Flesh  with  "Pandemic  Plague"  a  very  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song  with  a  mixture  of  deep  death  metal  growls  and  high  pitched  screams.

  Next  up  is  Caesarum  with  "Taste  Our  Freedom"  a  song  that  hybrids  both  deathcore  and  death  metal  with  a  mixture  of  deep  death  metal  growls,  high  pitched  screams  and  pig  squeels.

  Next  up  is  Diktatur  with  "Revanche"  a  more  melodic sounding  black  metal  song  with  some  evil  high  pitched  screams  along  with  some  slow and  mid  paced  riffing  that  has  a  doom  metal  feeling  to  it  as  well  as  some  clean  singing  towards  the  end  of  the  song.

  Next  up is  Disdained  with  "Ignoring  The  Bliss"  a  very  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song  that  has  some  grindcore  influences  and  technical  sounding  guitar  solos  and  leads  along  with  a  brief  use  of  atmospheric  synths.

  Next  up  is  Extermino  with  "Mangled  And  Disembodied"  a  very  fast  and  brutal  sounding  death/grind  song  that  combines  high  pitched  screams,  deep  death  metal  growls  and  heavy  bass  lines.

  Next  up  is  Morbus  with  "Placeres  Fecales"  another  brutal  and  fast  sounding  death/grind  song  with  some  brutal  growls  and  screams  along  with  some  dark  sounding  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

  Next  up  is  Mordant  with  "Fall  Of  the  Holiness'  a  very  fast  old  school  anti  christain  black  metal  song  with  some  melodic  guitar  solos  and  leads.

  Next  up  is  Mordeth  with  "From  Apes  To Warlords"  a  very  atmospheric  sounding  doom/death  metal  song  that  has  some  thrash  influences  in  the  riffing.

  Next  up  is  Nyarlathotep  with  "Hekait  Et Er Diriiktsa"  a  more  raw  and primitive  sounding  occult  black  metal  song  with  a  very  dark  atmosphere.

  Next  up  is  Pagan  Requiem with  "Cross  The  Gate"  a very  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black/death  metal  song.

  Next  up  is  Perverse  Molestation  with  "Plasma  Cumshit"  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  sounding  porno  death/grind  song.

  Next  up  is  Prayer  Of The  Dying  with  "Memento  Of  Death"  a  very  dark  and  atmospheric  black  metal  song  with  some  evil  high  pitched  screams  and  keyboards,  along  with  some  melodic  guitar  solos  and  leads.  

  Next  up  is  Riotor  with  "Riotor"  a  very  fast  and  primitive  sounding  black/thrash  song  with  some  high  pitched  screams.

  Next  up  is  Sadistic  Gore  with  "Deflowered  by  The  Priest"  a  very  heavy  and  brutal sounding  anti  christian  death  metal  song.

  Next  up  is  Sanguinus  with  "Not  Even  Your  Shadow  Will  Be  Remembered"    avery  heavy  and  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song.

 Next  up  is  Shredding  Consequences  with  "Worlderness"  a  heavy  thrash  song  that  has  somewhat  of    a  melodic  death  metal  feeling  to  it.

  Next  up  is  Skineater  with  "Dismantling"  a  very  heavy  and  brutal sounding  death  metal  vocals  with  some  really  deep  death  metal  growls  along  with  some  riffing  that  has  a  thrash  influence  to  it  as  well  as  some  melodic  riffs  as  well  as  some  synths  and  acoustic  guitars  in  the  middle  of  the  song.  

  Next  up  is  Svart  Vold  with  "Blank Fired"  a  very  melodic  sounding  death  metal  song  with  a  good  mixture  of  screams  and  growls  as  well  as  some  more  traditional  metal  riffing.

  Next  up  is  Terminal  War  with  "Aeon  Crush"  a  very  heavy  fast  and  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song  that  has  a  grindcore  edge  to  it.

  Closing  the  compilation  is  Tornado  with  "Human  Race"  a  song  more  in  the  power  thrash  vein.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  compilation  and  if  you  are  into  death,  thrash  and  black  metal  as  well  as  grindcore,  you  should  enjoy  this  compilation.  RECOMMENDED

Pest Records Online Compilation/2011 Review

  This  is  a  review  of  a  compilation  put  out  by  Pest  Records  in  2011  and  we  will  review  the  songs  one  by  one.

  First  up  is  Blood  Of  Martyrs  with  "Beneath A  Blue  And  Silent  Sky"   a  more  post  black  metal  sounding  song  with  some  grim  black metal  vocals  and  mid  paced  guitar  riffing  along  with  some  clean  singing,  in  addition  the  song  is  very  long.

  Next  up  is  Deus  Otiosus  with  "Sang  2"  a  more  brutal  sounding  old  school  death  metal  song  with  seep  growls  and  thrash  influences  in  the  riffing.

  Next  up  is  Eternal  Helcraxe with  "Kin,  Comrades  And  Country"  a  very  primitive  and  melodic  sounding  black  metal  song  with  some  folk  guitars  at  the  beginning  of  the  song  as  well  as  some  heavy  bass  riffing.

  Next  up  is  Exekrator  with  "Blood  Was  Made  To  Flow"  a  more blackened  sounding  death  metal  song  with  growls,  screams  and  clean  singing  vocals  along  with  some  melodic  riffing.

  Next  up is  Saligia  with  "Eyecult"  a  very  fast  raw  and primitive  sounding  occult  black  metal song  with  some  chaotic  guitar  leads  and  solos.

  Next  up  Feces  On  Display  with  "Cock  And  Cum"  a  more  porno  sounding  grindcore  song  with  pig  squeels  and  burped  vocals.

  Next  up  is  Golthoth  with  "Triumph  Of The  Elder  Gods"  a  very  fast  occult  black  metal  song  with  primitive  guitars  and  melodic  riffing  as  well  as  some  thrash  influences.

  Next  up  is  Hell  Terror  with  "Celeka"  a song  that  is  more  in  the  crust/grindcore  vein  with  some  primitive  guitar  riffing.

  Next  up  is  Morbid  Devourment  with  "Cotard  Delusion"  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song  with  some  deep  growls  along  with  some  grindcore  influences.

  Next  up  is  Putrefaction  with  "Red  Sink"  a  very  fast  and  brutal  sounding  crust/grind  song  with  a  good  amount  of  death  metal  influences  being  thrown  into  the  music.

  Closing  the  compilation  is  the  Obscene  with  "The  Final  Silence"  a  very  brutal  sounding  death  metal  song  that  also  incorporates  black  metal  influences.

  In  conclusion  this  is  a  great  compilation  and  if  you  are  into  black  metal,  grindcore,  crust  and  death  metal,  you  should  enjoy  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  Ravenous  are  a  band  from  Mexico that  plays  a  very  heavy  and  brutal  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their self  released  2010 album  "Cosmic  Terror".

  Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  sound  with  death  metal  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the  recording.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  death  metal  riffs  that  are  very  raw  and  primitive  sounding  as  well  as  heavy  and  brutal,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  dark  sounding  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

  Vocals  are  all  dark  sounding  deep  death  metal  growls  along  with  some  high  pitched  screams,  while the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  violent  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it  but  you  can  still  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  the  recording.

  In  my  opinion  Ravenous  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  primitive  death  metal band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Army  Of  Darkness"  "With  Chainsaw  In  Hand"  and  "Flattening  Of  Emotions"  which  is  a  Death  cover.  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  Deist  are  a  band  from  Chicago,  Illinois  that  plays  a  very  heavy  and  brutal form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2009  Demo.

  Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  tone  with  brutal  death  metal  riffing  that  dominates  throughout  the  recording.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  death  metal  riffs  that  are  heavy  heavy  and  brutal  sounding  with  the  songs  being  long  in  length,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  dark  sounding  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

  Vocals  are  all  deep  death  metal  growls,  while  the  lyrics  cover  your  typical  death  metal  themes,  as for t he  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and  professional  sound  for  being  a  self  released  demo  and  you  can  hear  all  of the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  recording.

  In  my  opinion  Deist  are  a  very  great  sounding  brutal  death  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  this  band  out.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK "Denied  Humanity".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  Anchony  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  plays  a  mixture  of  death  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2010  album  "In  The  Asylum".

  Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  thrown  in  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  strong  and  powerful  tone  with  riffs  that  dominate  throughout  the  recording.

  Rhythm  guitars  range from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  thrash  and  death  metal  together  with  a  good  amount  of  melody  and  technical  riffing  along  with  a  brief  use  of  soft  and  playing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  technical  and  melodic  sounding  death/thrash  guitar  solos  and  leads.

  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  thrash  style  screams,  deep death  metal  growls  and  a  brief  use  of  clean  singing,  while  the  lyrics  cover  hateful  and  everyday  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and professional  sound  for  a  self  released  recording  where  you  can hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  album.
