Burtul are a band from Russia that plays a very brutal and satanic form of death metal and this is a review of their 014 album "Bottom Astral" which was released by Satanath Records.
Tribal style beats start off the album and after a few seconds morbid sounding melodies are added into the music along with a very fast and brutal death metal sound that also uses vocals that can be very guttural at times and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also brings in a very modern style of brutal death metal and the solos and leads also bring in a chaotic sound to the music that is also very heavily influenced by the 90's and the fast riffs also utilize a great amount of tremolo picking and the whole album also remains very heavy and brutal from beginning to ending of the recording and one of the later tracks also brings in a brief use of screams.
Burtul plays a style of satanic death metal that is very modern, brutal and guttural at times while always being very heavy, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism, Blasphemous, War and Social Issues themes.
In my opinion Burtul are a very great sounding brutal, satanic death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Death's Agony" "Luftwaffe" "Blasphemer" and "Bottom Astral". 8 out of 10.
