Eteritus are a band from Poland that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Following The Ancient Path" which was released by Godz of War Productions.
A very heavy sound starts off the album and also introduces melodic guitar leads onto the recording and after awhile death metal growls start becoming a very huge part of the music which is also very old school and heavily rooted in the early 90's while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a decent amount of blast beats.
At times the guitar riffing can be very melodic while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while some of the faster riffing often uses a decent amount of open note tremolo picking and all of the songs also remain very heavy from beginning to ending of the recording and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Eteritus plays a style of death metal that is very heavy, traditional and old school sounding in the early 90's style, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness, horror and occult themes.
In my opinion Eteritus are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Hellish Imagery" "Eye Of the Storm" and "Mortal prophecy". 8 out of 10.
