Denial Fiend are a band from Florida that consists of many veterans from the death metal and crossover scene with a style that combines death metal, thrash and hardcore punk and this is a review of their 2011 album "Horror Holocaust" which was released by Ibex Moon Records.
Drums range from slow, midpaced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being used at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times they sound very powerful, as for the synths which are only utilized briefly on a cuuple of songs they bring a dark feel to the music.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, midpaced to fast riffing that combine old school death metal and hardcore punk together, while the lead guitars are chaotic sounding 80's underground metal style of guitar solos.
Vocals are mostly splattercore screams, while the lyrics cover horror themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and heavy sound to it.
In my opinion Denial Fiend are a very good band that combines old school death metal, theash and hardcore punk together and if you are looking for a band that mixes these styles together, you should check out this band. RECEMMONDED TRACKS INCLUDE "After Party Massacre" "Horror Holocaust" and "Hell Asylum". RECEMMONDED BUY.
