Eye Beyond Sight are a band from Slovakia that plays a mixture of death, groove and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "The Sun And The Flood" which was released by Massacre Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being used at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to them.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine death metal with thrash in the riffing and groove metal in the breakdowns in addition there is some soft and clean playing being used at times on a couple of songs, while the lead guitars are very melodic and distorted sounding guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are a mixture of deep death metal and thrash growls that have a hardcore feeling to them at times and at times there is a brief use of spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover dark and hateful themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion Eye Beyond Sight are a very good sounding death/modern thrash/groove metal hybrid and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sick Society" "Self Possession" "That Hurts" and "Screams From Your Childhood". RECOMMENDED BUY.
