Anchony are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of death and thrash metal and this is a review of their self released 2010 album "In The Asylum".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful tone with riffs that dominate throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine thrash and death metal together with a good amount of melody and technical riffing along with a brief use of soft and playing, while the lead guitars are very technical and melodic sounding death/thrash guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are a mixture of thrash style screams, deep death metal growls and a brief use of clean singing, while the lyrics cover hateful and everyday themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound for a self released recording where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this album.
In my opinion Anchony are a very good sounding death/thrash metal hybrid and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "In The Asylum" "Slave" "Curse Of Cain" and "Torture Of The Night". RECOMMENDED BUY.
