Calcined Interview

 1. Can you tell us a little bit about the band for those that have never heard of you before?
We do death metal since 2008 in Switzerland.

2. How would you describe your musical sound?
Nothing expectionnel, our music is clearly inspired by our influence rather oldschool, adding a good touch of disorder, which gives it a slight tinge of modernity

3. What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
Often the issue revolves around a person somewhat troubled, tight and misunderstood by society. Many of our texts sounds of apocalyptic history with respect to oneself, of things that happen in our head.

4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?
The effect of calcination is used in mineralogy, now imagine this process on a human body and there a lot of ideas come.

5. What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and how would you describe your stage performance?
During the release party of our latest album Ep "thwarted", we played in a pub in our regions with "Daigoro," a group of friends. We gave everything and the public felt that the well has created a great chemistry!
In our concert, we are as captivated by the music. We are 100% in our trip. The public is not as receptive whenever

6. Do you have any touring plans for the future?
We hope so! It is difficult to find help that would allow us to leave the country.

7. Recently you have came out with a split album, what are your thoughts on the other band that participated and how much impact did Evil Chuck and Death have on your music?
The band  "Death" has always inspired in general. We have great respect for the work of Chuck and what he has brought on the metal scene. One can regret never having seen, being too young.  Able to honor him with this album is like thank him for all his contributions!
Paths "Regicide decease" and "Calcined" it is a little cross by chance, but we quickly became friends and had the same intentions, to pay tribute!

8. On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of death metal?
As we mentioned at the top, we are not common worldwide, this split-album will also be helpful on this point

9. What is going on with the other band projects these days?
In hopes to create an exchange in our respective countries, but nothing has been done to date.

10. What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
The death metal in general, we do not really like the new wave "Deathcore", but we are relatively open.

11. What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?
We hope to continue in this direction without asking any questions.

12. Outside of music what are some of your interests?
The simpsons, the beers, the music festivals ...

13. Any final words or thoughts before we wrap up this interview?

All are said. Thanks for everything, greetings

Lionel (Drums) and Piffeux (Bass, backing)
