Navalm are a band from Ukraine that plays a very brutal form of death metal and this is a review of their 2013 album "Recovery Of Sync" which was released by Metal Scrap Records.
"Let Others Pray" begins with nature sounds before going into brutal death metal guitar riffs, drums and growls and after awhile powerful bass guitars and high pitched screams become a part of the song and this song is an intro for the album and towards the end of the song there is a brief use of guitar solos and leads.
"Sign" begins with some heavy guitar and bass riffs along with some drums which lead to the deep death metal growls and after awhile the music speeds up in some parts and brings in some high pitched screams as well as a brief use of guitar solos and leads.
"Cemetery Administration" begins with some nature and animal sounds along with some bells and a few seconds later drums, guitars and growls start making their presence known along with some bass guitars shortly after that before mixing ins some mid paced sections and high pitched screams before getting fast with some blast beats and towards the end there is a brief use of guitar leads and solos.
"Unnecessary" begins with heavy guitar and bass riffs along with some drums before they get faster add in blast beats, thrash influences and high pitched screams along with some guitar solos and leads before slowing down adding in death metal growls.
"An Evil Time" begins with some heavy guitar and bass riffs along with some drums and high pitched screams and after awhile the music slows down adds in some deep growls before switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and after awhile there is a brief use of blast beats and guitar leads along with some melodic guitar riffing.
"Steps In The Void" begins with some heavy bass guitar riffing before the drums, rhythm guitars and high pitched screams kick in along with some melodic parts and then going into a heavier direction and combining screams and growls and then t he song switches back and forth between slow and fast parts as well as mixing in guitar leads in certain parts.
"Recovery Of Sync" begins with heavy and brutal guitar riffs and drums along with some bass guitars and then the music goes into a faster direction and brings in some growls and then the song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts along with a brief use of guitar solos and leads and the song closes with high pitched screams.
'Frank Decomposition" begins with guitar leads, heavy bass guitars and drums before adding in some growls and rhythm guitars which takes the song into a slower direction before switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and adding in some guitar leads and high pitched screams along with some melodic riffing.
"Tomb In The Arctic" begins with some sound effects before going into heavy guitar and bass riffs along with some drums, technical parts and high pitched screams and a few seconds later in the song there is a brief use of guitar solos and leads that start kicking in and out of the song.
'Slut Hanging On Hook" begins with some movie samples which lead to some heavy guitar riffs, blast beats and high pitched screams along with some deep growls and powerful bass guitars and towards the end there is a brief guitar lead.
"To Parcel Up Meat" begins with heavy bass guitar riffs and drums which leads to some brutal guitar riffs and deep growls and a few seconds later there are some guitar leads kicking in.
'Worse Than Any Murderer" begins with some war samples with some heavy guitar and bass riffs along with some blast beats and growls make their presence known and then the song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and as the song moves on there is a brief use of high pitched screams and guitar leads.
"Revenge" begins with heavy guitar riffs before the bass, drums and growls start kicking in along with some high pitched screams a few seconds later and then t he song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts and you can hear some blast beats in certain parts.
"Strain Of Mind" begins with some drums which lead to some heavy guitar and bass riffs along with the growls kicking in shortly after that and then the song starts switching back and forth between slow and fast parts as well as utilizing some high pitched screams and guitar leads.
"The Prophecy" begins with bass leads and drums along with some deep growls kicking in shortly after that and a few seconds guitar riffs and leads become a part of the song which leads to a faster direction along with some blast beats and high pitched screams
Song lyrics cover violent, hateful and gore themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the album.
In my opinion Navalm are a very great sounding heavy and brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out t his recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cemetery Administration" "An Evil Time" "Slut Hanging On Hook" and "Strain Of Mind". RECOMMENDED BUY.
