Suffer the Wrath are a band from Illinois that plays a very brutal form of death metal and this is a review of their self released 2013 ep "Divine Sign".
"Buried In Blood" begins with drum beats before the heavy guitar riffs start making their way into the song which leads up to some death metal growls and screams along with some brutal elements as well as a brief use of blast beats and halfway through the song you can hear a small amount of technical guitar leads.
"Divine Sign" begins wit h some heavy guitar riffs and brutal blast beats before the growls and screams kick in and the song starts switching back and forth between mid paced and fast parts as well as mixing in some technical elements and halfway through the song there is a brief use of guitar solos and leads being utilized.
"Sinister Dawn" begins with some blast beats and heavy guitar riffs and a few seconds alter the deep death metal growls make their presence known in the song along with some high pitched screams and after awhile you can hear some powerful bass guitars in the song.
"Slave King" begins with some brutal blast beats from t he drums and heavy guitar riffs which lead up to some powerful bass guitars, screams and growls and then the song switches back and forth between mid paced and fast parts and towards the end there are some melodic guitar leads being utilized.
Song lyrics cover dark and violent themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy, brutal and professional sound for being a self released recording where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Suffer the Wrath" are a very great sounding brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Divine Sign" and "Slave King". RECOMMENDED BUY.
