Diablerie are a band from Finland that plays a mixture of industrial and death metal and this is a review of their 2014 mini album "Transition 2.0" which was released by Primitive Reaction.
The album s tarts out with dark sound effects and industrial noise sounds as well as synths and spoken word parts before adding in heavier parts which take the music into a more industrial direction and then the aggressive vocals start to kick in and at time s they also go into a more melodic clean singing direction.
As the album continues the music starts bringing in the heaviness of death metal along with brutal blast beats while the main focus is still industrial metal and the vocals also start utilizing growls and screams and on one of the songs they bring in a small amount of guitar leads as well as the gutiar riffing using small amounts of melody.
With this mini album Diablerie stick to a more EBM style of industrial while also having guitars that bring in the heaviness of thrash and death metal which results in a very dark and heavy sounding recording.
Song lyrics cover dark and dystopian themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Diablerie are a very great sounding mixture of industrial and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Inflagrant Derelict" and "White Collar Privilege". 8 out of 10.
