Bloodtruth are a band from Italy that plays a very brutal form of death metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Obedience" which will be released in September by unique Leader Records.
Melodic Gregorian chants start off the album giving the music a ritualistic feeling and after the intro the music goes into a brutal death metal direction along with some blast beats, growls and melodies as well as all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and at times the music sounds technical.
High pitched screams can be heard in certain sections of the recording along with a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when solos and leads are added onto the recording they bring in more of an old school feeling to the bands brutal death metal sound while also have a very melodic and dark atmosphere to them at times and th e band also brings back the Gregorian chants in a few of the songs
Bloodtruth plays a very old school and brutal style of death metal that they mix in with Gregorian chants which makes the music sound more original, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover philosophy and anti religion themes.
In my opinion Bloodtruth are a very great sounding brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album> RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Surrounded By Blind Bigots" "Coerced to Serve" "Summoning the Heretics" and "Obedience". 8 out of 10.
