Sewercide are a band from Australia that plays a mixture of death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2015 "Severing The Mortal Coil" which was released by Infernal Devastation Records.
A very heavy and old school thrash metal sound starts off the ep and after awhile the music starts to speed up a bit add in blast beats and 80's style death metal and the music also brings in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the solos and leads the band uses also remain true to an 80's style of death/thrash metal
All of the songs sound like they could of easily been recorded and released in the mid 80's and some of the riffs also bring in a small amount of melody and all of the music sticks a very raw raw and old school death/thrash sound from beginning and there is never a soft or weak moment present on any of the tracks while one song does bring in the sound of a horror movie soundtrack and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Sewercide plays a style of death/thrash that is very heavily rooted in the 80's and also has a great amount of raw aggression being presented in all of their songs, the production sounds very old school yet professional at the same time while the lyrics cover violent and dark themes.
In my opinion Sewercide are a very great sounding old school mixture of death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rituals Of Ceremonial Sickness" and "Exist In Punishment". 8 out of 10.
