Necrogod are a band with members from both Costa Rica and Sweden as well as being another musical project from Rogga Johannsonn and this is a review of their 2015 ep "The Inexorable Eath Reign" which was released by Iron, Blood & Death Corporation.
Noise style sounds start off the ep along with some atmospheric elements in the background and after the intro the music goes into an old school Swedish death metal direction along with a good mixture of both growls and screams and the music also brings in a decent amount of melody at times while the solos and leads remain true to an early 90's style of metal.
You can hear some elements of thrash in some of the guitar riffs while the main focus remains mor e on a raw, melodic and old school style of death metal and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts with the faster sections also bringing in a decent amount of blast beats and besides the intro the album sticks to a very heavy musical direction and the last track brings in a brief use of spoken word samples.
Necrogod plays a style of Swedish death metal that is very raw, melodic and old school in the early 90's tradition, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness, brutality and malignancy.
In my opinion Necrogod are a very great sounding old school death metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Death Provokers" and "Exequies For A Moribund God". 8 out of 10.
