Disrepute are a band from Germany that plays a very traditional form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "C9H13NO3" which was released by Defying Danger Records.
Drum beats start off the album along with some heavy yet melodic riffing while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a decent amount of blast beats along with the vocals being mostly death metal growls along with a few screams and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
A decent amount of melody can be heard in the guitar riffing and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's while also sounding very modern at the same time and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic yet chaotic fashion and the fast riffs also utilize a great amount of tremolo picking and the music also gets more brutal as the album progresses.
Disrepute plays a style of death metal that is very traditional and brutal sounding, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover hate, death, chaos, darkness, war, and anti religion themes.
In my opinion Disrepute are a very great sounding traditional death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Atheism" "Cold War" and "Gates To Hell". 8 out of 10.
