Annihilation/Against The Storm/Casket Music 2011 CD Review

Annihilation  are  a  band  from  Portugal  that  plays  a  very  brutal  form  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2011  album  "Against  The  Storm"  which  was  released  by  Casket  Music.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  brutal  sounding  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  modern  day  brutal  death  metal  riffs  that  are  heavy  sounding  with  some  technical  parts,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  chaotic  sounding  death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads  with  some  dark  sounding  melodies  being  thrown  in  at  times.

Vocals  are  all  deep death  metal  growls,  while  the  lyrics  cover  violent  and  hateful  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  strong,  powerful,  heavy  and   professional  sound  to it  capturing  the  modern  day  death  metal  sound.

In  my  opinion  Annihilation  are  a  very  great  sounding  modern  day  brutal  death  metal  band  and  if  you are  a  fan  of  this  style,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Tortured  With  Hate"  "At  War"  "Hear  Them"  and  "Disbelief".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
