Fear Factory are a band from L.A California that have had their previous album reviewed in this zine that are very well known in the metal world with a musical style that mixes industrial with groove and death metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "The Industrialist" which was released by Candlelight Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the keyboards bring in atmospheric, industrial and experimental music sounds into the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast riffs that combine industrial, groove and death metal together, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very melodic sounding guitar solos and leads.
Vocals range from industrial/groove metal shouts and growls to clean singing, while the lyrics cover forward thinking, science fiction, everyday events and anti religion themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great recording from Fear Factory and if you are a fan of this band, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "New Messiah" "God Eater" "Virus Of Faith" and "Disassemble". RECOMMENDED BUY.
