Bloody Harvest are a band from Ukraine that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Abstinence Syndrome" which was released by Metal Scrap Records.
An early 90's style death metal sound starts off the album along with some powerful sounding bass guitars and then the music starts adding in blast beats and growls and they also add in some brutality at times and after awhile the band starts adding in some dark sounding melodies and guitar leads.
High pitched screams can be heard in certain sections of the recording and there are also some riffs that bring a thrash metal feeling to the music and the band also brings in a great mixture of East Coast, Florida and Swedish death metal elements into their musical sound and they bring in a great amount of raw aggression into all of the songs that are present on the recording and the last track also sees the band adding in some slam death metal elements.
Bloody Harvest remains true to an old school death metal direction from beginning to end of the album and while there is no originality in their music they still show that they knew their death metal very well, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Bloody Harvest are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Pandemia" "Smile Of The Beast" and "The Last Revelation". 8 out of 10.
