Carnal Garden are a band from Greece that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Where They Are Silent" which will be released on April 15th by Ecletic Prods.
Horror movie samples start off the album before going into more of a heavier musical direction that is also very heavily rooted in the early 90's Swedish style and when t he music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard along with the riffs also bringing in a great amount of dark sounding melodies.
Vocals are mostly deep death metal growls and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and all of the songs sound like they could of easily been recorded and released more than 20 years ago and when guitar leads are finally utilized they are done in a very melodic fashion and there is also a brief use of spoken word samples on a few tracks and the music is always heavy.
Carnal Garden plays a style of death metal that is very old school and heavily rooted in the early 90's Swedish tradition, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and horror themes.
In my opinion Carnal Garden are a very great sounding old school death metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Where They Are Silent" "At The Forefront" "In The Garden Of Death" and "From The Catacombs". 8 out of 10.
