Continuum are a band from California that plays a very technical and brutal form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "The Hypothesus" which will be released in April by Unique Leader Records.
A very technical and brutal sound starts off the album along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as a great amount of growls and screams and the solos and leads demonstrate a great amount of talent and skill and the songs also bring in elements of prog metal.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and as the album progresses a brief intro with dark sound effects is added onto the recording along with an instrumental track later on before making a return to a more brutal direction on the following tracks and the songs also incorporate more of a modern approach to death metal and the last track is very long and epic in length.
Continuum plays a very modern style of death metal that is very brutal and technical at the same time along with some progressive touches that make them stand out in the genre, the production sound s very professional while the lyrics cover continuum hypothesis themes.
In my opinion Continuum are a very great sounding technical and brutal death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Epiphany" "The Awakened Creator" and "Steppes To Ascension". 8 out of 10.
