Diagnosis are a band from Mexico that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Sympathy For Disease" which was released by Db Metal Recording.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the album along with some death metal growls and after a few seconds morbid sounding melodies and blast beats are added into some parts of the songs and you can also hear a great amount of high pitched screams and 90's influences in the bands musical style.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads also remain true to an old school style of death metal and some of the riffing also brings progressive structures into certain sections of the recording along with the bass also being used as a lead instrument at times and the whole album also remains very heavy from beginning to ending of the recording while there are also some modern elements to be heard at times.
Diagnosis plays a style of death metal that is mostly rooted in t he old school style while having some modern traces and a more powerful bass guitar sound, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Diagnosis are a very great sounding death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Seclusion" "Diagnosis" "Sympathy For Disease" and "Stigmatized". 8 out of 10.
