Desecresy are a band from Finland that plays a Finnish style of death metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Chasmic Transcendence" which was released by Xtreem Music.
Death metal growls start off the album along with an atmospheric background before going into a heavy and melodic direction and after the first track the band starts getting a bit more fast and brutal along with some blast beats as well as bringing in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
As the album progresses the band seem to find a perfect balance between old school dearth metal, melody and brutality mixing them all together along with a great dose of the classic Finnish death metal sound while also being very modern sounding all at the same time and they also have a very dark sounding presence in each on the tracks they provide for the recording as well as remaining true to a more European style of death metal.
All of the musical instruments on the album have a very powerful sound to them and they also bring in a brief instrumental as well as adding in more catchy structures to some of the later tracks while still keeping a heavy and brutal feeling in their musical attack.
Desecresy have a very dark and original approach to playing death metal playing a pure form of this musical genre while having their own sound that can really be compared to other bands, the production sounds very professional and the lyrics cover darkness, chaos and metaphysical themes.
In my opinion Desecresy are a very great sounding death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Ethereal Bane" "The Eye Of Death" "Climber Of The Sky" and "Autumn Of Souls". 8 out of 10.
