Vomiting Corpses where a band from Germany that played death metal and this is a review of their 1995 album "Coma The Spheres Of Innocence" which was re-issued in 2014 by Wardead Records and also contains their demo "Cold Blood".
Dark sound effects start off the album before going into a very heavy direction along with blast beats and a mixture of screams and growls as well as bringing in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and they also add morbid sounding melodies into their musical sound at times and the band only uses a small amount of guitar solos and leads.
The music that is present on this album is a reflection of how death metal sounded during that time and you can tell the band was heavily influenced by the other bands that where in this genre around the early 90's and they also add in back up shouts and spoken word parts on some of the songs which was rarely used back then.
As the album progresses clean singing is added briefly on one of the tracks which which considered rare and original for a death meta l band in 1995, the second side of the album is an old demo from the early 90's and the tracks are in the same direction as the album but with a more rawer sound and the music also has a more dirty style of death metal to them and some of the songs utilize a small amount of synths which also gives their music a very dark and evil atmosphere and they also bring in a small amount of female vocals on one of their songs.
Vomiting Corpses played mostly a style of death metal that was common for the early 90's but they also added in a few original elements to make their music really stand out, the production ranges from a raw to professional sound, while the lyrics cover darkness, horror and war themes.
In my opinion Vomiting Corpses where a very great sounding death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kingdom Of The Blind" "Ice-Age Of the Common Sense" "Screaming Spirits" and "Exhausted Will TO Live". 8 out of 10.
