War Messiah are a band from Poland that plays a mixture of death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2014 ep "Graveyard Feeding" which was released by All Seeing Eye Art.
A very old school thrash sound starts off the album before adding in blast beats and a mixture of screams which are in the more thrash vein and growls which bring out the death metal along with some melody which they also mix into the guitar solos and leads which also enhance the old school metal feeling of the record.
All of the musical instruments on the ep have a very powerful sound to them and the music is very old school sounding going back to a time where death metal had a more thrash orientated feeling 86-88 era to it while the growls on the album are where the true death metal elements really start to kick in and on one of the tracks there is a brief use of spoken word aprts beign utilized and the last track is very long and epic in length.
War Messiah are another young band playing a very old school style taking 80's thrash and the beginning era of death metal and combining them together along with a good amount of melody, the production has an old school feeling while also being modern at the same time while the lyrics cover anti religion, war, suicide and graveyard themes.
In my opinion War Messiah are a very great sounding mixture of death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kill Your Priest" and "Graveyard Feeling". 8 out of 10.
