Deathmarch are a band from t he Netherlands that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Dismember" which was released by Black Lion Records.
Distorted amp noises start off the ep before going into a very heavy musical direction which is also very heavily rooted in the 90's while the vocals are mostly deep death metal growls along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as some screams.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and as the ep progresses the riffs bring in a small amount of melody while no solos or leads are ever utilized as well as the music always remaining heavy.
Deathmarch plays a style of death metal that is very heavily rooted in the 90's European tradition, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violence, death and war themes.
In my opinion Deathmarch are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Gastorture" and "Bayonet Frenzy". 8 out of 10.
