Netherland's Sinister have returned with a re-issue of their 2005 demo which led to them getting re-signed to Nuclear Blast in 2005 after a short break up and the recording is called "Gods Of The Abyss" and will be re-issued on June 23rd by Vic Records.
A very heavy and brutal sound starts off the recording along with some blast beats and death metal growls a few seconds later while the solos and leads are very melodic as well as demonstrating a great amount of talent and skill and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while spoken word parts are also used briefly and the music is mostly rooted in the 90's while also being very modern for 2005 and the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody and clean guitars are added onto the closing track.
On this recording Sinister remained true to the death metal style they at e known for, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Suicide, Occultism, Death, and Violence themes.
In my opinion this was another great sounding recording from Sinister and if you are a fan of this band, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Grey Massacre" and "Man Down". 8 out of 10.
