Voids Of Vomit are a band from Italy that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Ritval Expiation" which was released by Everlasting Spew Records.
Horror movie style synths start off the ep along with some demonic voices which also leads up to a heavier musical direction which also introduces deep death metal growls onto the recording along with the music also being very heavily rooted in the early 90's and they also mix the atmospheric and heavy parts together.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard while the riffs also utilize morbid sounding melodies at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and high pitched screams are also utilized briefly and some of the fast riffing brings in a decent amount of tremolo picking.
Voids Of Vomit plays a style of death metal t hat is very heavily rooted in the early 90's while also mixing in more of a sci-fi or horror orientated atmosphere, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover Occultism, Death, and Darkness themes.
In my opinion Voids Of Vomit are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ritval Expiation Of The Parricide" and "Rite Of The Shades". 8 out of 10.
