Dark Waters End are a band from Pennsylvania that plays a progressive and technical style of death metal and this is a review of t heir 2017 album "Submersion" which will be released in October.
Heavy and melodic riffing along with some sound effects start off the album along with some drum beats a few seconds later and a few seconds later death metal growls are added onto the recording and the riffs also bring in a great amount of prog elements and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic fashion.
At times the music gets very technical and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard while high pitched screams are also utilized at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and as the album progresses clean playing can also be heard briefly along with a brief use of melodic vocals and a couple of the tracks are long and epic in length and a couple of songs also add in a small amount of spoken word parts.
Dark Waters End plays a style of death metal that is very modern, progressive and technical sounding, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover philosophical themes.
In my opinion Dark Waters End are a very great sounding progressive and technical death metal band and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Immortal Consciousness" "Congenital Vice" "Hell Can't Be worse" and "Up The Dose". 8 out of 10.
FABULOUS! I wish this awesome band tremendous and well-deserved success! xo
