Inanimate Existence are a band from the Bay Area of California that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very progressive and technical form of death metal and this is a review of t heir 2017 album "Underneath A Melting Sky" which will be released in August by The Artisan Era.
Keyboards start off the album before going into a very fast and technical direction that also uses a great amount of blast beats along with some solos and leads that also display a great amount of talent and skill and after awhile death metal growls start to make their presence known along with clean playing also being used at times.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while high pitched screams are also used at times along with some prog elements and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some songs also bring in a small amount of acoustic guitars and one of t he tracks is long and epic in length.
Inanimate Existence creates another recording that remains true to the progressive and technical death metal style of previous releases, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover philosophy and metaphysics themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Inanimate Existence and if you are a fan of progressive and technical death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Underneath A Melting Sky" "The Djinn" and "Formula Of Spores". 8 out of 10.
