Sepulchral Whore are a band from Brazil that plays an old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Everlasting Morbid Delights" which was released by Metal Ways Records.
A very dark and haunting intro starts off the ep before going into a heavier direction along with some blast beats and death metal growls being added onto the recording a few seconds later and when synths are utilized they bring in a horror movie atmosphere while the riffs also use a great amount of dark sounding melodies.
All of t he music is very heavily rooted in the mid 80's to early 90's and it also sounds like it could of easily been recorded and released during that time frame while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads also bring in a very dark and melodic style and spoken word parts are also used briefly and the vocals are more close to death/thrash at times and one of the tracks is an instrumental that also introduces classical guitars onto the recording.
Sepulchral Whore plays a style of death metal that goes back to the 80's era of the genre along with some vocals that are closer to death/thrash, the production sounds very old school while the lyrics cover metaphysical, necrophilia, atheism, anti humanism, horror, blasphemy, death and nihilism themes.
In my opinion Sepulchral Whore are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Everlasting Morbid Delights" and "Necromancer's Rites". 8 out of 10.
