Death Control are a band from France that plays a mixture of death metal, thrash and metalcore and this is a review of their 2017 album "Awaiting Us All" which was released by Great Dane Records.
Heavy guitar riffing along with some spoken word samples start off the album and after t he intro the riffs start mixing in elements of thrash along with some melodic riffing also being utilized at times while the vocals are mostly mid 80's style death metal growls and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
A decent amount of hardcore elements can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's and when guitar solos and leads a r e finally utilized they are done in a very melodic yet old school style and the music always remains very heavy.
Death Control plays a musical style that takes death, thrash metal and metalcore and mixes them together to create a very heavy sounding recording, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover violent and angry themes.
In my opinion Death Control are a very great sounding mixture of death metal, thrash and metalcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Beast" "Exhume To Perfume" "Satisfy Your Urges" and "Cobaye 77". 8 out of 10.
