Abythic are a band from Germany that plays a very old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 ep "A Full Negation Of Existence" which was released by Metal Inquisition Records.
A very heavy and old school death metal sound starts off the ep along with some growling vocals and the music evokes an early 90's Swedish style and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and you can hear melodies coming out of the guitar riffing in some parts of the songs.
Choir vocals can be heard for a few seconds in between songs and the solos and leads are very dark and melodic and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with a small amount of blast beats and all of the songs also sound like they could of easily been recorded and released 20 years ago and one track also brings in a brief use of clean playing and the ep closes with a very dark soundscape orientated outro that is also very long and epic in length.
Abythic plays a style of death metal that is very old school and goes back to an era when the genre was still on top of the underground, the production has a vintage 90's sound while the lyrics cober dark themes.
In my opinion Abythic are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Dissolution Of Adam" and "Return To The Origin". 8 out of 10.
