Concrete are a band from Bulgaria that plays a very old school form of death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Chambers Of Afterlife" which was released by Rebirth The Metal Productions.
A very heavy and old school death metal sound starts off the album along with some growling vocals and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the riffs also bring in melodies at times and you can also hear a touch of thrash in the bands musical style.
When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the solos and leads also remain true to an old school style of death metal and all of the songs sound like they could of easily been recorded and released in the early 90's and as the album progresses clean playing can be heard briefly while the main focus remain more on a heavy and old school style of death metal.
Concrete plays a style of death metal that is very heavily rooted in the early 90's and also ignores all of the modern trends of the past 20 years, the production sounds very old school yet professional at the same time while the lyrics cover gore, death, zombies and afterlife themes.
In my opinion Concrete are a very great sounding old school death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Tied To The Pyre" "Dreaming In Innsmouth" "Upon Sacrificial Altars" and "A Chapter of Linked Murders". 8 out of 10.
