Deformatory are a band from Ontario, Canada that plays a very brutal and technical form of death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Malediction" which was released by CDN Records.
Demonic growls start off the album before going into a very fast and brutal technical death metal direction t hat also uses a great amount of blast beats and the vocals also start getting more menacing along with some growls being added in times and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording.
Throughout the album you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the riffs also add melodies into some parts of the songs and the solos and leads also bring in more of a technical style of death metal while also being very melodic at the same time and some songs also bring in a small amount of spoken word samples and the whole album also remains very heavy and brutal from beginning to ending of the recording.
Deformatory plays a style of death metal that is non stop brutality while also being very technical at the same time, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are a concept album based upon Savael, the creator of darkness and the original source of pure evil.
In my opinion Deformatory are a very great sounding brutal, technical death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Infernal Gateway" "Eviscerated Requiem" and "Oracles Of Perdition". 8 out of 10.
